GOP Chairman Of The House Intelligence Committee Says He Would Charge Snowden 'For Murder'

"And by the way, and this is important, I would charge him for murder," he added.

Rogers argued that Snowden's actions led to the deaths of American and British soldiers.

"He took information that allows force protection, not only for British soldiers, but for U.S. soldiers, and made it more difficult for us to track those activities. Meaning it is more likely that one of those soldiers is going to get their legs blown off or killed because of his actions," he said. "Anybody that provides information to the enemy is a traitor, period, pure and simple."

He said that Snowden didn't only take materials related to the National Security Agency's spying practices, but also information "about tactical things, military plans and operations."
