Good news for those of you Windows Phone enthusiasts who own the Nokia Lumia 620, as Microsoft seems to have just kicked off the rollout of the long-awaited Lumia Cyan update.

Keep in mind that while some carrier-branded Lumia 620 already received the update here and there, the country variant or the unlocked version hasn't been eligible for the upgrade until recently.

Anyway, beginning this weekend, Nokia Lumia 620 owner should expect the Cyan update to hit their devices. Obviously, there are still regions where the update has yet to arrive, such as North America and the Middle East, but it shouldn't take long for Microsoft to make it available in these parts of the world as well.

For the time being, the Lumia Cyan update for Nokia Lumia 620 has been confirmed in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America.

Microsoft recently updated the Lumia Cyan upgrade tracker and Nokia Lumia 620 should now get the update in the following countries: Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

The Cyan update for Nokia Lumia 620 has also been confirmed in the following countries: Austria (A1 and Orange), Germany (T-Mobile and Vodafone), Greece (Vodafone), Hungary (Telenor and T-Mobile), Ireland (Vodafone), Italy (TIM, Vodafone and country variant), Portugal (Vodafone), Russia, Spain (Vodafone), Ukraine and UK (O2 and Vodafone).

As mentioned earlier, Lumia Cyan update for Nokia Lumia 620 is still under testing in countries in North America and the Middle East, but judging by the fact that the upgrade is now available in so many other regions, it's likely to arrive in these parts soon.

Windows Phone users who own the Nokia Lumia 620 and live in one of the countries listed above should manually check for the Lumia Cyan by going to Settings / Phone Update.

It's also worth mentioning that you will be needing around 1.5GB of free phone memory to install the Lumia Cyan on your smartphone. Also, make sure that your Lumia 620's battery is at least 50% charged.

Although the update should take around 15-30 minutes, depending on how much data you have stored on the phone, it may take up to 2 hours, especially if it's a major update.

We'll be keeping a close eye to the other two regions (North America and Middle East) where the Cyan update for Nokia Lumia 620 has yet to arrive, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
