Golden Gate Canyon park is a wonderful place. It's got all sorts of great hiking trails. Only 45 minutes from Denver it's easily accessible. Full review by mafischl

Past experience, could be 80s to high 90s during this time. Weather is mostly great, but would advise to have rain gear and sweatshirts in case a cold front happens by at the time …

Past experience, could be 80s to high 90s during this time. Weather is mostly great, but would advise to have rain gear and sweatshirts in case a cold front happens by at the time you visit. You're probably better off looking at weather for Central City/Black Hawk as the elevations are closer. While in the area, if you are hiking, you might need shoes/boots for the hike, not flip-flops/sandles. If you are hanging by the lake, then flip flops / sandles may be fine. Bring lots of water for the elevation change and be prepared to be winded if not familiar with the altitude.

No, but it is a large ranch house with outbuildings about half way across the Park on Gap Road. You could get an arial, 3-d, or street view from Google Earth.
