This is a very nice park in Queens! Large, spacious. There is a new, neat walking trail underneath Hell Gate Bridge. Tons of opportunity to shoot photos of the Hell Gate Bridge and the RFK bridge.… Full review by hrobinson1114

There aren't any hotels immediately near the island. Look for hotels around 96th or 86th Streets with cross streets at 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Lex Ave if you want something within walking …

There aren't any hotels immediately near the island. Look for hotels around 96th or 86th Streets with cross streets at 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Lex Ave if you want something within walking distance. Otherwise look for something close to the 6 train (further downtown, but along the same avenues).
