I think I would rent a car. I have not looked it up, but I assume it is at least an hour from LAX. Unless you are a diehard, Reagan fan, this museum is not very interesting, as you can tell from my review. If you want to go to a presidential library, I would choose the Nixon library! The Reagan library felt very subjective, and in someways full of propaganda. It did not seem thoughtful or historical.
