Microsoft rolls out Lumia Denim update for Windows Phone

Some Lumia smartphones running the Windows Phone operating system may soon have improved camera functionality, as Microsoft started rolling out the “Denim” software update.

 

Denim brings Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 to supported devices though it will be subject to phone carriers' approval, PC World reported.

 

PC World said Denim is already part of the Lumia 830, 730 dual-SIM variant, and 735.

 

With Denim comes Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, whose features include digital assistant Cortana Microsoft's answer to Apple's Siri in selected countries.

 

Cortana is arriving in the United Kingdom and China as a beta app, and Australia, Canada, and India as an alpha app, PC World said.
