I enjoy going to concerts at this venue. Not to big all the seats are good seats due to the revolving stage. Always have good R&B performances Just smells old and the restroom need updates. Full review by Getaway604094

If I remember correctly, yes. But lighters will be confiscated. You should check their website for up-to-date information. Also, purses are subject to be checked.

The stage rotates so there isn't really a bad seat. The theater is small but big enough for every one to see it

Are there any hotels within 2-5 miles of the arena theater ?

Looks like there is in the Area of the Galleria. Hilton Marriott and holiday inn express. But not sure of pricing we stayed Downtown and rode Lyft there.
